About Oreste Tolone

Oreste Tolone (Sulmona, 1968) is Professor of Moral Philosophy at the University of Chieti-Pescara (Italy), where he teaches Applied Ethics and Social Ethics. He was born and lived for a long time in one of Europe's green regions, surrounded by mountains and national and regional parks, where he loves hiking and walking. He has developed a strong connection with the living world, especially the non-human; he enjoys immersing himself in the woods, observing the trees and plants, in which he recognizes respectable life forms. He loves Hayao Miyazaki's films and Bill Watterson's comics. His publications focus primarily on the figure of man in his relationship with animals, plants, and the environment.
